TEST POST Test Post

It was great to welcome five year 11 students from Newsome High School to One 17 Design on Friday morning. After a tour of the office to learn about design in practice, the students spent time with Graphic designer Alan Hardy working on the designs for the 2015 Rock Challenge T-shirts and hoodies.

The theme for this year's Rock Challenge performance  - Is the fair fun? - will follow through in the T-shirt designs. Over 70 pupils from Newsome High School will be involved in everything from performance to set design, lighting, music, make-up, hair and presentation. They will enjoy representing their school at the West Yorkshire Play House in April.

Rock Challenge UK is a fantastic national competition run by the Be Your Best Foundation that aims to encourage young people to lead healthy lifestyles and to be their best without the need for tobacco, alcohol or other drugs.
This is now the fifth year that we have supported Newsome High School to take part in Rock Challenge. It's a wonderful project that involves so many students, with many different talents and the standard of the whole performance is extremely professional. I'm really looking forward to seeing this year's show."  - Caroline Lee, One 17 Design.
